New fast-neutron time-of-flight facilities at CYRIC

Abstract

A report on the construction of the fast neutron time of flight (TOF) facilities was presented. Performance test was performed by studying (p,n) reactions on 6Li. The results of the performance test for analyzing the neutrons showed that the total system of facilities worked reasonably well. It also presented good place for extended nuclear spectroscopic studies with the installed AVF cyclotron, which provided high time resolution beams in the order of several hundred pico-seconds.
