Abstract

Kondo et al. have generated a comprehensive library of convertible GAL4 knockin Drosophila strains for neurotransmitter receptor genes. The GAL4 lines can be converted into other reporters through the use of RMCE, providing a versatile toolkit. Expression profiling of receptor genes reveals neurochemical segmentation of the brain.
