Nanocoating of sisesquioxane with polymer nanosheet

    Inorganic-organic materials research is a rich and fast-developing area of nanotechnology, which offers a wide scope for minute devices. As a typical inorganic-organic material, polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane(POSS) possesses a particular cage structure which has advantages of improving the properties of materials. In this study, we synthesized the amphiphilic copolymer with silsesquioxane derivative XQ1159 and prepared polymer nanosheet by utilizing the Langmuir-Blodgett technique. Moreover, hydrophobicity and topography of polymer nanosheet corresponding to heating temperature were investigated by contact angle and AFM.
