Abstract
The effect of the structural disorder on the magnetic properties of Nd 90-xFexAl10 (x = 20-60) melt-spun ribbons is investigated in the temperature range 4-300 K, as a function of both the composition and the thickness of the samples. The microstructure consists of very small Fe-Nd magnetic clusters randomly distributed within the amorphous matrix, whose size approaches a single magnetic domain.
