Nano-physical properties in polyolefin and elastomer blend consisting of different elastomer morphologies

    Abstract

    Using force-curve measurements with AFM followed by numerical analysis of them, we obtained Young moduli and their distribution of the EOR domains in PP/EOR blend in which shapes of the EOR domains were adjusted to be fibrous (injection-molding) and spherical (compression-molding), respectively. The Young moduli of the fibrous EOR showed higher magnitude and broader distribution relative to the spherical EOR.
