Nano-crystallized glass fibers with second-order optical nonlinearity

Abstract

Second harmonic generation (SHG) and prpagation loss have been measured on nano-crstallized optical fibers frm a tellurte based glass. Angular dependence of SHG intensity and low prpagation loss (0.15 dB/cm) at 1.55 μm are repored.
