Abstract

In summary, the present study indicates that more than 30% of Japanese CAPD patients suffer from overhydration, due potentially to relatively excessive sodium/water intake. Overhydration in CAPD patients contributes to cardiac overload and elevated BP, which may predispose these patients to increased risk of cardiovascular events.
