Abstract

Multi-valued recording is a new method to achieve a high density recording system. We propose several modes of self-organized multi-valued recording media based on numerical simulation. The Macroscopic spin state of the system is dynamically determined exactly as a result of competition between exchange and dipole-dipole interactions assuming various magnetization processes.
