    Abstract

    A strictly non-blocking 8×8 switch is realized on InP by using the phased-array scheme for the first time. We demonstrate nanoseconds reconfiguration time, ultra-broad optical bandwidth covering the entire C-band, and error-free transmission of 40-Gbps (10-Gbps × 4ch) WDM signal.
