Molecular dynamics calculations of CO2/N2 mixture through the NaY type zeolite membrane

Abstract

The separation of carbon dioxide from the carbon dioxide and nitrogen mixture, using NaY inorganic separation membrane, was calculated by molecular dynamics (MD) method. Computer graphic images reveal that carbon dioxide molecules are adsorbed on the sodium cation, located at site II. This site plays an important role in the separation of carbon dioxide.
