Abstract
A study was performed on the shear-induced phase transitions of binary polymer mixtures. A high Weissenberg number and infinite Peclet number flow regime was used to solve the two-fluid model numerically. The rheological signature of demixing fluids under shear was observed and it was found that the the steady state shear stress depended on the change in shear rate from nonlinear to linear in the range where the demixing occurs.
