Abstract

The Ledatron has been proved to be a good tunable source in the long millimeter wave region up to 13 mm. A spectrophotometer has been constructed which covers the wavelength range from 2.5 to 9 mm. The energy levels of the hydroxyl ion in sodium chloride crystal have been determined and they are interpreted well by an anisotropic adiabatic potential model.
