Abstract
Microporous TiO2 films were prepared using arrays of polystyrene particles 7, 10 or 20 μm in diameter and the resulting structures were used as templates for Bryopsis protoplasts to control their dimensions. Successful cell size control is achieved only with micropores 82 m or larger, with the 20 μm pitch template being preferable of the three templates examined. Cell models of arbitrary size can be obtained with the method.
