Microstructural evolution and corrosion behavior of Al25Ti 25Ga25Be25 equi-molar composition alloy

The microstructure of light element containing Al25Ti 25Ga25Be25 equi-molar composition alloy was investigated by X-ray diffractometry and scanning electron microscopy, while the corrosion behavior was tested in 1 M sulfuric acid solution (H 2SO4) at ambient temperature (298 K). The results show that the alloy displays good general corrosion resistance. The influence of the microstructure and morphology of the constituent phases is also evaluated.
