Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) solidification calculations were performed in Darcy flow. Rotating velocity distribution was calculated at a parameter of Darcy flow coefficient. The free surface deformation was obtained by an oscillation mark at the surface of solidified steel. The free surface velocity distribution by the MHD calculation at 0.7 Darcy flow coefficient was same as the operating velocity.
