Mechanical behavior of a soft ferromagnetic plate in a magnetic field

Abstract

Experimental evidence and theoretical analysis are presented for the bending of a soft ferromagnetic beam plate in a magnetic field. The effect of magnetic field on the deflection is shown graphically and is discussed in detail. The theoretical results agree very well with the experimental data.
