N2 - Magnetic-field-free measurements of absolute total cross sections for positron scattering from helium have been performed using an electrostatic high-brightness slow positron beam apparatus. In the energy region above 20 eV, the present results are in good agreement with those of other studies. On the other hand, in the energy range of 4-20 eV, our values are higher than most of the other measurements except one study.
