Abstract

The manganese distribution ratios in the Na//2O-SiO//2 and CaF//2-CaO system decrease with increase of Na//2O and CaF//2, respectively. The relationship between manganate capacity and optical basicity has been derived. The oxygen potentials in practical hot metal pretreatment are estimated.
