Abstract
We have studied the magnetization of a powdered sample of Ce 3Rh2Ge2 in low magnetic fields. We identified long-range antiferromagnetic ordering at 7 K. Below 0.1 T, additional peaks in AC susceptibility appeared at 3 and 10 K. The residual magnetization after field cooling at 0.1 T disappeared at 11 K. These behaviors showed the existence of developing ferromagnetic components below 10 K. The magnetization curves showed a ferromagnetic jump and hysteresis below 3 K. The peak at 3 K also indicated ferromagnetic ordering of small magnetic components.
