Abstract
A pulse magnetometer was used to characterize magnetization reversal of perpendicular recording media. Angular dependence of remanence coercivity for CoCrTa medium, CoPrTb/CoCrTa composite medium and superlattice medium was determined. The values of remanence coercivity along the perpendicular direction for these kinds of media as a function of anisotropic field were determined. Results showed that CoCrTa works effectively for CoCrTb to reduce the size of magnetization reversal unit.
