Magnetization measurement of Mn(HCOO)2. 2urea and Co(HCOO)2.2urea

Abstract

For the Mn salt (TN = 3.8 K), the magnetization curve at 1.7 K gives the saturation field 2Hex = 10.6 T consistent with the exchange constant J =−0.34 K reported previously. The magnetization curve is nearly isotropic suggesting a certain multi-sublattice spin structure. For the Co salt (TN = 6.4 K), weak ferromagnetism is identified at 4.2 K.
