N2 - High-field magnetization measurements have been performed in pulsed magnetic fields. Two sharp steps have been observed in the magnetization processes of a Ni dinuclear oxalato(ox)-bridged compound: [Ni2(Medpt)2(μ-ox)(H2O)2] (ClO4)2 2H2O (Medpt = methyl-bis(3-aminopropyl)amine) which is regarded as an S = 1 antiferromagnetic (AF) dimer compound. The magnetization and susceptibility data are analyzed in terms of the S = 1 AF dimer model with uniaxial single-ion-type anisotropy.
