Magnetic properties of Ni2In-type (Mn1-x T x)65Sn35 (T = Ti, Cr)

Magnetization measurements and partial neutron diffraction (ND) experiments have been performed on (Mn1-xTx)65Sn 35 (T = Ti, Cr) systems. In Ti systems, the ferrimagnetic temperature range becomes narrower with increasing Ti concentration and disappeared at x = 0.225 with direct transition between a paramagnetic state and a spin-glass state. In Cr systems, the σ-T curve shows a concave region at T t. The ND experiments for x = 0.25 exhibit the presence of antiferromagnetic components lying in the basal plane and the magnetic structure is noncollinear type in T≤Tt.
