Abstract
Co/Cr and Co/Ag compositionally modulated films were prepared by evaporation, and the dependence of the film magnetic properties on layer thicknesses was investigated. The changes in saturation magnetization with Co layer thickness and the ferromagnetic resonance spectra are explained in terms of a model which includes an alloying effect in Co/Cr (which are mutually soluble) and aggregation of Co and Ag in Co/Ag (which are insoluble).
