Abstract
Co and Co-Fe were elcctrodeposited in pores of anodic oxidized alumite films. The coercive force and the magnetic anisotropy energy of these films are examined. The magnetic anisotropy energy and the perpendicular coercive force of Co electrodeposited alumite films can be controlled widely by changing the pH and the temperature of the Co solutions without changing the particle diameter. The electrodeposited Co-Fe particles are confirmed to be single phase Co-Fe alloys by X-ray diffractions. The saturation magnetization as well as the coercive force can be controlled by changing the composition of the alloy. Magnetic alumite films having high saturation magnetization and high coercive force were obtained.
