Abstract
The compound Cu2(C5H12N2)2Br 4 (CHpB) is isostructural with a typical spin-ladder material Cu2(C5H12N2)2Cl 4 (CHpC). The susceptibility and magnetization of CHpB show spin-gap behavior at low temperatures as observed in CHpC. The results are in good agreement with a spin-ladder model.
