Abstract
Magnetic properties of 6. 5 wt% Si-Fe alloy, annealed at 1100 degree C, oil-quenched, then annealed at 630 degree C for different durations and again oil-quenched, and consisting of a mixed B2 plus DO//3 phase, are reported. Dark-field images showed DO//3 -ordered structures as fine particles in samples annealed at 630 degree C for 3 hours, but the volume of the particles increased and became lamellar in the (100) direction for longer annealing times. Changes in the soft magnetic properties, permeability, and coercive force were also measured.
