Abstract
DyB2 C2 with an antiferroquadrupolar (AFQ) transition at TQ = 24.7 K was diluted by non-magnetic Y and examined by specific heat experiments under magnetic fields in order to elucidate its magnetic phase transition behavior. Basically, the phase diagram of Dy0.4 Y0.6 B2 C2 is similar to that of DyB2 C2. In Dy0.5 Y0.5 B2 C2, the AFQ transition occurs simultaneously with the antiferromagnetic transition at TN.
