Abstract

The magnetic moment of 33Cl (Iπ = 3/2+, T1/2 = 2.51 s) has been re-measured precisely by β-NMR method. The obtained magnetic moment μ = 0.7549 (3) μN is consistent with the old value 0.7523(16) μN, but is 5 times more accurate. The value is well reproduced by the shell model calculation, μSM = 0.70 μN. Combined with the magnetic moment of the mirror partner 33S, the nuclear matrix elements 〈lp〉,〈ln〉, 〈Sp〉, and 〈Sn〉 were derived.
