Magnetic micromachines prepared by ferrite plating technique

Abstract

Magnetic micromachines which are prepared by ferrite plating technique were discussed. The sterolithography technique helps to form spiral-shape resinous templates and ferrite plating enables one to coat the ferrite uniformly. It was found that these machines swim freely and wirelessly in water when a rotational magnetic field is applied.
