Magnetic-field dependence of conductance quantization in ferromagnetic point contacts

Abstract

The magnetic-field dependence of Ni Quantum point contacts (QPC) was measured. It was suggested that the time scale of the QPC formation affects the conductance quantization in Ni QPC. The observed switching field was 120 Oe which coincided with the magnetization saturation field in the Ni wire.
