Abstract

The Fe//3Al single crystal alloys in the conditions of two-phase mixtures, alpha (disordered) plus B2 and alpha plus D0//3, were examined by transmission electron microscopy, and the magnetic domain structures at room temperature were observed by the defocused mode of Lorentz microscopy. The magnetic contrast associated with the interface between the two phases coexisting in a submicron scale was observed, in addition to the domain wall contrast. The origin of the magnetic constrast is discussed in connection with the fluctuation of magnetization in the two-phase state.
