Low-frequency inelastic light scattering of glassy fresnoite: A nanocrystallization scenario

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

In situ observation of inelastic light scattering in the boson region during heating was performed in glassy fresnoite (Ba2TiSi 2O8) with a homogenenous nucleation tendency to elucidate its nanocrystallization dynamics. The nucleation and crystal-growth processes are discussed on the basis of our boson observation results, Cabral's thermodynamic data, and other studies.
