N2 - New physics in the TeV region may appear in the form of high-dimensional effective interactions. Their effect on the gauge boson pair production in pp collisions is examined. There appears a broad enhancement at 100-150 GeV for s = 540 GeV without new particles in that region. Possible connection with the recently found anomalous events at the CERN pp collider is discussed.
