Living radical polymerization under high-pressure

Abstract

Living radical polymerizations (LRPs), especially, atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of MMA was performed under elevated pressure up to 500 MPa. We have achieved to synthesize PMMA with Mn > 1,000,000 and PDI < 1.3, constantly. ATRP of MMA under high pressure could be a powerful method to synthesize ultrahigh-molecular-weight PMMA.
