Abstract
Functional organic molecules are potentially applicable for building various kinds of photo-functional devices if the molecules can be fixed to a certain area of polymer surfaces. Laser molecular transfer has the advantage that the pattern can be made from the functional molecules directly by simple one-step irradiation without impairing the original functionality of the molecules. This can be achieved using both back and forward transfer of molecules with respect to the arrival direction of the laser beam.
