N2 - Reflectivity spectra of single crystals of Yb4Sb3 and Yb4As3 have shown absorption due to the Kondo peak in the far infrared region at low temperature, and absorption relating to the f-d transition in the infrared region. Virtual excitions with a certain space extension are considered. In the latter absorption peak for Yb4As3 occurs about 0.1 eV higher than that for Yb4Sb3.
