Abstract

The kinetic pathway of the lamellar → gyroid transition was studied by small angle x-ray scattering experiments and the new computational scheme developed by Saeki. Approaching temperature to the TLG from the lamellar phase, modulation frequencies developed in the lamellar phase. The MFL structure was well reproduced by the Saeki scheme. The MFL having the local in-plane hexagonal arrangement transformed to a unique three-dimensional network structure having a R3̄c symmetry.
