Abstract
A new concept, 'Kinetic Differentiation' Mode in a High-performance Liquid Chromatographic system for trace metal determination are described. The HPLC separation processes give rise to the unique selectivity base on a difference in the reaction kinetics of the metal-chelate compounds. The capability of this HPLC methods for environmental studies are demonstrated in terms of the high sensitivity (down to pg/ml) and the specificity for the cases of Al, Be, Ni, and V ions.
