Abstract

The phase relationship of a quaternary system composed of Ir-Nb-Ni-Al alloy at the Ni-rich side was investigated by using electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) based technique. The investigation involved studying of the phase composition around the Ni-corner at 1300 °C. The phase detection procedure employed investigation of two new alloys and re-investigation of seven previously studied alloys.
