Studied are the interactions between interfaces connecting two distinct commensurate phases in one-dimensional models of the Frenkel-Kontorova type, which describe commensurate-incommensurate phase transitions. Asymptotic formulas are obtained for multi-interface interactions at large distances of separation. The formulas can be used, in conjunction with the method employed by Fisher and Szpilka and its extension, to analyze certain features of the phase diagram.
