Abstract

The reactions of a pivalate-bridged paddle-wheel diruthenium( II, III) complex, [Ru 2 II,III(piv) 4(THF) 2]BF 4, with two kinds of polyoxometalates (POMs), (TBA) 2[Mo 6O 19] and (TBA) 3[H 3-V 10O 28] (TBA: tetra-n-butylammonium cation), led to the formation of one- and two-dimensional inorganic frameworks composed of [-{Ru 2} n-(POM)-] - repeating units with n = 1 and 2, respectively.
