Abstract
We present an experimental study of inclusive production of protons in pp interactions at 6.94 GeV/c. The distributions of the c.m. longitudinal and transverse momentum of protons show quite similar behaviour to those in pp interactions. Comparison of the experimental results with triple-Regge model predictions show the dominant contribution of the π-exchange mechanism to the process.
