Abstract
The efficiency of electron holography for in-situ observations of magnetic phase transformations is discussed. Removal of the phase information due to the mean inner potential by using two holograms obtained at different temperatures has achieved precise examination of the magnetic domain structure in perovskite-type manganite La0.44Sr0.56MnO3. The advantages and disadvantages of the devised method were discussed. It was pointed out that the devised method was especially useful for studies of the growth process of the ferromagnetic domains.
