Improvement of convergence speed for an adaptive notch filter based on simplified lattice algorithm using pilot notch filters

Abstract

This paper proposes a new adaptive notch filter with high convergence speed and low steady state error. The new adaptive notch filter is based on an improved Simplified Lattice Algorithm (SLA) which has variable step sizes using piloted adaptive notch filters. Computer simulations demonstrate that the adaptive notch filter claims an improved convergence speed under the same mean square error condition in comparison to the conventional SLA.
