Implementation of Cluster Variation Method in the framework of a general thermodynamic databank

Abstract

The cluster variation method (CVM) has been implemented into a databank which can handle many types of models. The implementation was possible by making a formal analogy between molecular-like species as found in a gas phase and the cluster concept in CVM. Some new features were found when combining CVM with the sublattice model.
