Abstract
A new class of nanohybrids consisting of metal nanoparticles and polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) showed the formation of a unique surface microtexture such as a fern-like fractal pattern. A silver macropore film was formed by heat treatment of silver nanoparticle (Ag nanoparticle) aggregates around the POSS crystal as a relief. A new method to fabricate a hydrophobic metal surface based on surface texturing was provided.
