Abstract

Mechanical alloying is one of the approaches to produce the Mg-Ni alloys with nanometer-scale structure. In this paper, we will review our recent work on the nanometer-scale structures and hydriding properties with 33, 38, 43 and 50 at.%Ni. Each contains a different amount of the amorphous (a-)MgNi phase homogeneously dispersed around nanometer-scale Mg2Ni crystallites.
