Abstract
Recent development of information and communication technology has brought dramatic change to our society. Under such circumstances, online experiments have been attracting attention as a research method to grasp the dynamics of social phenomena in the field of social science. This paper explain the key points for conducting experiments for researchers who have little experience of online experiments. Firstly, we summarize the current research trends, and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of online experiments. Then, we explain the digital tools for conducting experiments and the method of recruiting subjects. In addition to that, we discuss the ethics and the issues of recent legal regulations for conducting (experimental) researches. Finally, as an actual example, we explain the online experiment conducted by recruiting subjects using crowdsourcing service.
