How to built-up models for laser optimization of Yb3+-doped materials

Abstract

We show two types of models to optimize Yb3+-doped laser crystals: the Figure-of-Merit for both output yield of oscillator or amplifier, and, the optimization of the material gain from concentration quenching analysis.
